Hypnotherapy Training

The consultation "hypnosis" (from the Greek hypnos, "sleep") is an abbreviation of James Braid's (1843) title "neuro-hypnotism", meaning "sleep of the nervous system".

This report was approved by the ordinary council of the BMA, thereby forming BMA policy and rendering hypnotherapy a form of "orthodox", as opposed to Hypnotherapy Training complementary or alternative, medicine.
